Notes

[An interesting story is attached to this set! it is an old-shop stock item that arrived in the shop with a little piece of the tow hook broken. The shopkeeper put it to one side and meant to return it to Corgi but never did! So the item is in absolutley shop-fresh condition, never owned or indeed handled, although it does have that one little tow hook problem!].
This scarce and desirable Gift Set was issued between 1968-69 only and comprises:
Corgi 319 Marlin Rambler Sports Fastback in metallic mid-blue, white roof and boot, suspension on detailed cast wheels. Roof rack in place with red and white canoe atop. A scarce colour issue which only ever appeared in this gift set.Mint condition, save for the troublesome tow hook which is incomplete and detached (could be glued back into place).

Pennyburn Trailer in the same colour finish with cast detailed wheels, red plastic tow bar. Mint condition.

Bright card pictorial tray is in very fresh condition with virtually no age wear at all. Even the original tape is still in place on one side.
Another red and white canoe is included with figure and paddles. It comes complete with the card wrap-around packing piece. The outer box is equally crisp, bright and complete with an original shopkeeper’s price label on one side.
A lovely set!
