C1127
Corgi 1127 Simon Snorkel Fire Engine. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce issue with detailed cast wheels, gold boom supports in pictorial card and cellophane picture box. With leaflet.
Notes
A well-loved Corgi model from the Major Packs Emergency Vehicle range of toys. The Simon Snorkel fire engine was made between 1964-74, with a Bedford cab, 6 firemen, water cannon, extending and rotating boom. Just a couple of little marks on the boom, as you might expect. Hard to fault otherwise. This model presents very nicely with notably bright untarnished gold supports for the boom and vivid lustre to the original paint finish.
This card and cellophane picture box is a more difficult find certainly. Wonderfully crisp and strongly-coloured card. Original cellophane window has a tear however, caused during storage. Minor card tear at one corner. Close to pristine polystyrene insert.
