Notes
An interesting variation – and the first we have seen. This models has a bright emerald green cab, grey back and* silver cast wheels*. White interior. and a mid-grey roof box. Wagon back is a slightly lighter shade of grey than the roof box (more usually a very pale blue-grey). Model is in unused condition with both REFUSE WAGON labels at the sides as well as the complete chevron label at the rear. Perfect crest transfers on both sides of the cab. All delicate rear opening shutters are intact and function well.
Both plastic bins are present, with both detachable bin lids.
This scarce issue is presented in the pictorial end flap box. Strong colours on fresh, clean card make this an attractive backdrop for the truck when on display! Little edge crumple/small tear at an end flap and minor wear besides. Nice period touch – this model comes with a ‘Beatties’ toy shop period price label.
