Dinky 40E Standard Vanguard. 1st casting. Very near mint/not individually boxed. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
1st issue example with open wheel arches, fawn finish with matching wheels, small baseplate print with rails and the rear axle is secured by means of a tinplate clip.
Rarely handled with scarcely any marks to the paint finish.
Generally bright baseplate has a little wear in one small area .
Early casting with crisp details noted ( e.g. filler cap and boot detail) . Original tyres run well.
In all original condition with a pleasing lustre. Small area of rough casting on one front wing. Very few tiny marks to the paint finish. Very nice!
