D291
Dinky 291 London Bus "Exide". Cast wheel issue. Near mint/boxed. From The Reference Collection of Dinky models compiled in The U.K.
Notes
Issued between 1961-62, this model has a lustrous, vivid red paint finish with red diecast hubs, as-new fine tread tyres, a Leyland grille. Complete ‘Exide Batteries’ labels on both sides. ‘73’ on destination boards at front and rear are intact too (minor speckling to the front label).
Notably, this bus has lost none of its colour vibrancy.
At first (and even second!) glance, this model looks mint. It is only upon minute scrutiny under a strong light, that a few minor touch-ins may be seen.
Lighter yellow card picture box is clean and bright. Complete with all end flaps. Minor handling wear and a very minor start of a tear at the tuck-in part of one large end flap. Period pencilled price at an end flap.
