D421
Dinky 30w/421 Hindle-Smart Electric Articulated Lorry 'British Railways'. Transition issue from 1955. Near mint/boxed. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
Issued during 1955 and marking the transition from the older 30w numbering to 421, this articulated lorry has an all original maroon paint finish and a perfect ‘British Railways’ label on the cab front.
Few negligible (box) rubs to the side raised body line detail and the original smooth black cab tyres have a flat spot now ( due to being in one fixed position for a long period of time. The rest of the original smooth black tyres are fine.
Bright baseplate and axles.
The yellow picture box looks very bright and fresh, complete with all end flaps.
Only the most minor handling wear and a very small start of an end flap tear.
