Notes
Issued between 1968-74, this 1st issue version contains:
’Zebra-striped Land-Rover with an intact circular ‘LIONS OF LONGLEAT’ label on the bonnet. Opened hatch on the cab roof shows the keeper complete with the (usually missing!) rifle. Spun wheels with suspension.
Just one little box rub at a front wing.
Also included is the plastic lion’s den with one male lion, one female lion. Another male lion is affixed to the polystyrene plinth (all three are fixed in place with the little sticky pads which would have been provided). Three portions of meat and a red barrel are also still present. So the full complement of accessories!
The polystyrene plinth is clean and very fresh-looking. One small corner (top) portion is missing. Minor wear besides.
The card box is bright and fresh with intact original cellophane. Couple of small end flap tears and a little minor handling wear. Notably, this example comes complete with the original and pristine detachable header card/retailer card. Corgi Club Membership Form is included too.
An attractive Gift Set, especially nice to see this one complete!
