The Holy Grail of Dinky commercial trucks – and in stunning authentic condition.
A treasured item which has had the most careful handling and storage, issued between 1947-48. Very few are known to exist. Either an extremely short run or a colour trial.

Finished in deep lustrous grey with a shining black chassis, red flash and red ridged wheels. Bright axles, including the ends. Shiny baseplate. Delightful and correct herringbone tyres, including the spare.
There are a few little marks on the inside of the bed and the occasional little mark at the sides. Cab roof is fine as are the wheel arches. Outstanding lustre. All original.
The correct early buf box with a paper label is complete and intact with no tears or splits. Staples are bright. Card feel sturdy. Paper label is complete and brightly-coloured, if a little rubbed in a couple of places. Obviously a present at one time for a lucky little boy called Leon (“To Leon, from Daddy & Mammy”, written on one side of the lid). Boy has written his name in small print on the lid too. Age grubbiness to the box base underside.
It is difficult to over-estimate the rarity and desirability of this beautiful early commercial truck. Missing from most collections, even the most extensive. A premium item to cherish and a wonderful investment piece.
