C438
Corgi 438 Land-Rover. Scarce dark green version with grey canopy. Near mint/boxed. Extremely crisp box!
Notes
First made during 1963, this first issue has a lustrous deep green finish, plastic grey canopy, lemon interior, metal towhook. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. As-new original tyres run well.
Couple of exposed edge chips at a front wing and a couple of very fine, light scratches. Occasional small mark besides. Fine lustre. None of the expected chipping at the front bumper.
The pictorial card box is exceptionally crisp with day-one bright colours. Looks like old shop stock quality although do note that there is a minor handling scuff at an end flap seam edge. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price on one end flap.
