C428
Corgi 428 Smith's Mister Softee Ice Cream Van. Near mint/boxed. From a childhood collection of toys in Denmark.
Notes
Issued between 1963-66, this all original ice cream van is in close to mint condition, with lovely detailed transfers throughout and spring suspension on all four wheels. Ice cream vendor will endlessly serve you with an ice cream cone through the sliding hatch at the front, if you turn the little knob on the baseplate. All transfers are complete.
Tiny fleck or two of pink residue. Fine tread original tyres run well.
Occasional small mark and note an additional piece of transfer (factory) has found its way on to one side of the model (immediately below one of the Mr. Softee transfers). Period Corgi tax disc and number plates have been applied.
A nicely nostalgic item presented in a complete, bright box which has a little minor handling wear only. Crisp feel. Faint stamp above ‘Corgi Toys’ at an end flap. Pencilled writing on this end flap. Tiny edge tear.
