D965
Dinky 965 Euclid Rear Dump Truck. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce with window glazing and red-backed Logo. From The Suffolk Collection.
Notes
This is the slightly later issue, made between 1959-61 with window glazing and a red-backed ‘Euclid’ logo at the sides. Such a fine Supertoy from Dinky’s heyday; surely every child from the mid 50’s-60’s remembers it well! Very difficult to find absolutely mint. The truck has a lovely, bright, light yellow, all-original paint finish, perfect “Euclid” lettering, logo, and wording on both sides.
A few incidental marks only. Of course, there are the unavoidable marks (minor) on the cab roof caused by the operation of the tipping mechanism. Mechanism for raising and lowering the tipper works well. Such a bright metal winding handle!
The striped Supertoys box is bright, fresh and clean. Small puncture (caused by the winding handle) has pressed back into place. Minor rubs to lid corners, but otherwise really close to mint!
