Notes

Made between 1957-64, this model was made towards the end of the run with a rivetted back.
A most attractive truck which presents nicely, with glossy red and grey finish, straight posts with original chain, rounded chain post bosses and grooved metal ‘Supertoy’ wheels.
Presents well.

Hard to find a mark (other than the usual mark to the tow hook), but closest scrutiny reveals a few little touch-ins with well-matched red paint (couple on the cab head-on and at some wheel arches).
Vibrant finish has absolutely no sunfading whatsoever.
The Dinky Supertoys striped box with sloping (italicised) Supertoys print is very clean, and fresh-looking with strong colours and that includes the lowest section of the blue base. Minor scuff on the base and very light wear besides. No splits or repairs. No graffiti. Shiny staples. Dated from 1963 (Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid).
