D274
Dinky 274 A.A. Mini Van. Blue interior issue. Near mint/in glossy red and yellow picture box (version without serrated strip). From a beautiful, single-owner collection, some 25 years in the making.
Notes
This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection – painstakingly upgrading until he had the best examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.
Issued between 1964-73, this early version has a vibrant all-yellow finish, detailed early style A.A. logos and a bright blue interior, bright spun wheels and a black baseplate (note the additional 274 number in pen and etched on the base).
Patrol Service labels and early AA logos are complete on both sides. Complete Patrol Service sign on the roof. Opening rear doors. One complete rear door logo, the other has a small section missing.
Hard to find a mark on the paint finish – just a stray additional dab of factory silver near the rear bumper and another stray dot on the roof. None of the usual marks at bumpers or indeed at headlights!
The bright and clean, red and yellow picture box is complete. Issue which would not have a serrated end flap. No graffiti. Day-one bright colours. Very light stain at an internal end flap, light crease. Very minor seam repair.
