C471
Corgi 471 Smith's-Karrier Mobile Canteen. Very, very near mint/boxed (little box wear). With Corgi Club Membership Form. From a most knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector in South London.
Notes
A popular model from Corgi issued between 1965-66 with ingenious “glowing” Trans-O-Lite lighting. In fine condition, with a bright and blemish-free, original paint finish throughout. Spring suspension on shaped spun wheels, and the chef rotates when the knob on the roof is turned. Detailed interior with sink, hotplates, tea urn and till. Chef is complete with his dish and chef’s hat! Complete “Snack Bar” and “Joe’s Diner” labels. Very, very nice!
Thin light surface mark on the black background of the Joe’s Diner label – otherwise hard to fault.
The box is complete and has a crisp feel. Touch grubby now and there is a very small repaired tear. Minor wear besides. Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
