OK3315
OK Rover 2000. Working battery-operated model. Near mint/boxed with 3 suitcases. Scarce. Another super model from this most knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector in South London.
Notes
This Rover 2000 model was made by the OK company in Hong Kong during the 1960?s. Pleasing attention to detail with electric head and rear lights, chrome-plated trim, forward and reverse motion. Working battery-operated motor.
A delightful example (and reminding us naturally of Corgi 252, and since it is in maroon Corgi 322!).
This plastic model from the OK company is rather larger of course, measuring approximately 24cms. Roughly 1:20 scale. A most pleasing example in brownish-maroon, with chrome trim (minor tarnishing). Opening bonnet (reveals the detailed engine) and the opening boot holds the 3 pieces of luggage. Brightest wheels and smooth-running original tyres. Note this example lacks its battery compartment cover- but this does not affect its operation! What fun!
The illustrated lift-off lid card box has survived rather well. Fresh colours on largely undamaged card ( one very small tear). Light stain. Light grubbiness to the box base underside.
