C428
Corgi 428 Smith's Mister Softee Ice Cream Van. Very near mint/boxed. From The Renos Louka Collection.
Notes
A collection some 20 years in the making. Renos Louka from Virginia Water, Surrey specialised in Film & TV models. His interest was due to his occupation of supplying camera and lighting equipment to the film, TV and broadcast industry.
Issued between 1963-66, this popular ice cream van is in very close to mint condition, with just a couple of negligible marks to the paint finish. Delightful detailed transfers throughout and spring suspension on all four wheels. Supple, as-new original tyres. Ice cream vendor will endlessly serve you with an ice cream cone through the sliding hatch at the front, if you turn the little knob on the baseplate.
A nicely nostalgic item presented in a complete, bright box, complete with a Corgi Club Membership Form. Minor handling wear only. Period pencilled price at an end flap.
