Notes
This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection ? always a discerning buyer of the finest examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.
Issued during 1954, this example marks the transition from the earlier numbering (27F) to the new 344 numbering. In all original condition, with a shining two-tone finish, cream ridged hubs and a bright baseplate. Original smooth tyres run well.
Lustrous finish. Gives the impression of unsold, old shop stock. Fine silver trim with none of the expected chips.
Minor rough casting on the roof and the occasional mere dot visible under minute scrutiny. This Plymouth Estate Car displays very nicely indeed.
The scarce dual-numbered box continues the theme – looking so vibrant and clean! So crisp too. Tiny fleck of surface loss at an end flap. MInute wear.
