From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
First issue (1966-69) in the range of transit vans produced by Dinky in various colour finishes and liveries. This example is in very close to mint condition in vivid yellow, with red interior, and a sliding side door, opening rear doors. Bright blue base. Complete ‘HERTZ TRUCK RENTAL’ labels on both sides and at the rear opening doors; looks day-one fresh! Original ‘J’ registration plates front and rear. Detailed wheels. As-new original tyres.

Mere dot or two away from mint.
The colourful pictorial end flap box is really fresh and clean. Very crisp! Hard to find these late card boxes in good condition since the van is heavy in comparison to the relatively flimsy card box. A storage crumple, but definitely gives the impression of unsold old shop stock. One end has never been prised open.
It has been a long while since we have offered one of these Hertz Vans with a bright blue base for sale.
