D971
Dinky 971 Coles Mobile Crane. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce late issue with silver jib, plastic wheels and cuff, 2 packing card pieces & Dinky factory Quality Control Label. From The East Netherlands Collection.
Notes
This is the scarce late issue Dinky Supertoy model from the construction range. Complete and looking barely handled, functioning well with hoisting, jib raising and slewing movements. All original vivid shining orange-yellow and matt black finish and silver jib. . Still strung with its original string, and the familiar driver is in place. Matte black base and correct that this late issue with yellow plastic wheels has a plastic winding cuff and blue plastic driver. Light grey original radial tyres look as-new. Excellent ‘Coles’ label to rear with complete black and white chevron detail (few tiny edge ‘nibbles’).
The large striped Supertoys box is complete with both packing pieces (couple of minor ruffles/tears) as well as the Dinky factory Quality Control Label (not pictured).
Correct that this issue has a lemon-yellow (not deep blue) lower. Box is bright and clean with a little edge rubbing/age wear. Yellow sticker on the box lid. Neat penned writing on the box base underside.
