Notes
This model was inspired by the t.v. show ‘The Monkees’ and was issued between 1968-72. It is a superb example with a bright red finish, white roof, detailed cast wheels, complete with all four original figures inside. Perfect ‘Monkees’ transfers on both sides and bright chrome engine detail.
A couple of very tiny dots/rubs to the paint finish may be seen if you really look for them. Just one little rub at the nose of the vehicle, for example, caused by the inevitable box contact. Really, this example is one of the nicest we have seen.
The cellophane-fronted box is clean, bright and complete, with intact original smooth cellophane. Very vivid colours throughout. Remains of a shopkeeper’s price on one end flap and a shop label on another. A little neat pencilled numbering at box reverse corner. Minor tear to box inner at one corner caused by movement of the car inside the box.
A delightful popular Corgi model on display.
