A delightful and unused ‘Tommy Spot’ Set from the respected Tri-ang manufacturer. All models strictly 1:42 scale.
Always extremely sought-after, this set is such a rare find in this condition!
With an intact and colourful detailed period card ‘Superville Garage’ backdrop, this set comprises the following two models which are still secure to the card plinth (never removed):
1) 286 Austin 1800 with Driver. Mint condition.
2) 279 MG Midget with driver. Mint condition.
2 figures fixed to the plinth – and of course ‘Tommy Spot’!
Very close to mint detailed card insert (tiny age wear only), complete with the detachable ‘Service – Tommy Spot’ sign.
Standard, generic card and cellophane ‘window’ box has minor age wear. The glue that fixes the original cellophane in place has dried out a little over the years, so rather loose now. TIny hole in the original cellophane. Note the penned writing on one side of the box.
