Corgi Gift Set 10 Marlin-Rambler Sports Fastback with Ottersport Kayak & Camping Trailer. Very near mint/boxed. From 'The New European' Collection.
Notes
This scarce and desirable Gift Set was issued between 1968-69 only and comprises:
1) Corgi 319 Marlin Rambler Sports Fastback in metallic mid-blue, white roof and boot, suspension on detailed cast wheels. Roof rack in place with red and white canoe atop. A scarce colour issue which only ever appeared in this gift set. Very near mint condition with a notably intact grey tow bar. Few minor marks only.
2) Pennyburn Trailer in the same colour finish with cast detailed wheels, red plastic tow bar. Very near mint condition.
Bright card pictorial tray is in very fresh condition with scarcely any wear at all. Both pull-out tabs are present and tear-free. Trace of the original sellotape at the ends.
Another red and white canoe is included with figure and paddles. Remains of the original elastic band which held the canoe in place on the plinth.
The outer box is complete and very brightly-coloured. Crisp card.
Minor age/handling wear only. Light crease and a little ’depression ’in the card caused during storage (very minor).
No tears or graffiti. Period price label and shop label.
A lovely set, and not an easy find in this condition!
