C1106
Corgi 1106 Karrier Decca Radar Van. Very near mint/boxed. Version with five orange bands. With packing. From 'The New European' Collection.
Notes
An impressive item from the Corgi Major packs range issued between 1959-61. This model is the “five stripe” version with a cream body, rotating scanner and aerials. Flat spun wheels and complete “Decca Radar Airfield” labels on both sides. Bright base and as-new original tyres.
Fresh, pleasing original paint finish.
Hard to find a mark but do note the couple of little touch-ins at a wheel arch.
The lift-off lid box has excellent strong colours and includes both upper and lower packing pieces.
A little of the usual edge rubbing/ minor shelf grubbiness but no splits or repairs. Neatly pencilled ‘Mr. Trewin’ on the underside of the box base (probably written by the shopkeeper at the time for this particular customer who would collect his purchase).
