C1126
Corgi 1126 Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter. Very near mint/boxed with packing card pieces & Leaflet. Scarce light metallic blue issue with lemon interior in lift-off lid box. From a most knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector in South London.
Notes
This is a scarce late issue from 1964-65 in pale metallic blue finish with raised ’ECURIE ECOSSE lettering in red on both sides, detailed lemon interior. Shaped spun wheels.
You have to search minutely for a couple of tiny marks to the paint finish.
A great item to display especially with a selection of Corgi racing cars from the same era -this transporter would hold three.
The two original yellow bands are in place on the top section.
The lift-off lid picture box is brightly-coloured and tear-free. A little of the usual rubbing/wear at lid corners. Nice to see that all 3 card packing pieces are in place, along with the original Leaflet*.
A sought-after model. This collector had a shrewd eye for quality.
