Corgi Gift Set 3 "Thunderbird" Guided Missile on Assembly Trolley & R.A.F. Land Rover. Near mint plus - very near mint/boxed (wear), with packing & Corgi promotional booklet. From The Corbridge Collection - spanning a period of over 40 years of collecting!
Notes
A scarce set, issued between 1959-63, comprising:
i) 350 Thunderbird Missile in silver with a well-shaped red rubber nose cone, on Trailer (RAF Blue finish with black plastic swivelling wheels, black plastic tow ring and metal clips to hold the missile in place). Very near mint.
ii) 351 Land Rover in RAF Blue finish with a tin tilt, shiny shaped spun wheels, tow hook, RAF roundels, fine original tyres and spare on the bonnet. Scarce issue which has a slight paler, matt finish than the usual issue. Shiny base. Few minor marks to the paint finish. Graded near mint plus.
Slim outer box is complete, if a little grubby, with wear and a couple of small end flap tears. Note the printed instructions on all small end flaps. Comes complete with the original card packing sleeve and Corgi Promotional Booklet.
