D4
Dinky No.4 Engineering Staff. Near mint plus/boxed. 1936 issue From The BST Collection - carefully compiled over 30 years.
Notes
A beautiful set of early Dinky figures – it is hard to believe that this delightful boxed set is around 78 years old.
Each factory hand-painted figure has a rich coat of paint, glossy and gleaming fresh, still firmly in place on the deep yellow card inset with the original string. Each figure measures approx. 40mm.
The richly-pigmented card lift-off lid box has a blue ‘mosaic’ covering with a deeply-coloured (virtually complete) paper label. Version with ‘Meccano Dinky Toys’ on the label.
No splits, tears or repairs. In remarkable condition!
Small section of the top edge of the yellow paper label at one lid end has a couple of tiny nibbles. Couple of very minor corner scuffs to one side of the base. Period price label on the box underside too.
A beauty!
