C853
Corgi 853 Magic Roundabout Playground Set. Very near mint-mint/boxed. Scarce set from The Monty Calme Collection.
Notes
This has to be the largest set produced by Corgi and a real nostalgic treat.
Inspired by the much-loved Magic Roundabout children’s T.V. show, this set was issued 1972-73, and comprises:1) Magic Roundabout Carousel complete with all four horses and intact and bright paper labels.
2) Magic Roundabout Train with Mr. Rusty and Basil. Complete with all delicate parts intact. The track which moves along when the blue handle is turned is complete and works well. The box has a little repaired tear to the inner card. New cellophane has been fitted at some time.
All 9 figures are included in Zebedee, Dylan and Dougal.
See-saw (moves up and down), park bench, 3 blue trees or shrubs, 3 orange trees or shrubs (so complete) and two flowers set on a stand.
Musical operation works well too.
Contents look like new!
The large card outer box is complete and has fared very well indeed – an attractive and bright colourful box!
Couple of very small punctures have pressed back into place and very light wear.
Internal packing:
Rare to come to the market place.
