DGS4
Dinky (Hornby Series Modelled Miniatures) Gift Set No.4 Engineering Staff. Near mint/boxed. Early issue from The BST Collection.
Notes
Early issue (Hornby Series Modelled Miniatures) issue with 6 figures. Each factory hand-painted figure has a rich coat of paint, glossy and gleaming fresh, still firmly in place on the deep yellow card inset with the original string. Each figure measures approx. 40mm. Some chipping mostly on base edges.
The richly-pigmented card lift-off lid box has a purple and gold patterned paper with a deeply-coloured (and complete) paper label.
Minor age wear including seam rubbing at one edge of the base. Still a remarkable find in this condition – considering that this set would have been issued some 80 or so years ago.
