Notes
This issue finished in white and lime green is a difficult find. This particular example was originally purchased mail-order. Note the mail order label still affixed to an end flap.
The model has a white cab with red roof details (original) and a deep graphite grey chassis with a grey underside and front bumper.
Eye-catching lime-green trailer with black sliding doors at the sides. Complete Trans Continental lettering with the world map on both sides (blemish-free). Opening rear doors.
Closest inspection reveals the tiniest surface contact mark on one edge of the cab roof (which may be possible to completely remove with careful cleaning – not a chip). Obviously a completely unused piece – close to impossible to find this good!
The large* blue and yellow window box* is complete with an attractive colourful scene on box reverse. Card is bright and crisp. Small storage crumple at one end. Card inner is tear-free. Original cellophane is notably intact. Comes with the polystyrene packing pieces. Note that one set of end flaps has never been opened – they still have the period tape unbroken. The Mail Order Label is complete.
A very fine example indeed.
