Notes

Issued between 1971-72, this desirable London Transport Gift Set comprises:
1) Corgi 418 Taxi, in gloss black finish. In unused, mint condition.
2) Corgi 468 Routemaster Bus ‘OUTSPAN’. In unused condition, this detailed bus has perfect labels/transfers throughout and includes both a driver and conductor. A couple of negligible marks only – probably as-made.
3) Corgi 226 Mini, in an attractive metallic blue finish. Under the most careful scrutiny, a couple of ‘dots’ to the paint finish may be seen. Most would call this model mint!
Policeman on point duty, with his white arm bands, directing the traffic on top of a plastic circular stand.

The polystyrene inner is in shop-fresh condition – really very clean and shows just how little this set has been handled.
The outer window box is complete and bright, with intact smooth original cellophane. At one time, there has been a little surface removal at one end flap – which the owner has tried to camouflage with some coloured felt pen.
An unusual Gift Set issued for just a short time by Corgi, and aimed at the tourist market.
