D923
Dinky 923 Big Bedford Van "Heinz" . Scarce 'Tomato Ketchup Sauce Bottle' version. Near mint/boxed. From The BST Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1958-59 only, we are pleased to offer for sale the most sought-after Big Bedford advertising lorry! This fine model has a vibrant red cab and chassis and a bright yellow back. More commonly found with the ‘Bean Can’ transfers, this scarce version has the all-important ‘Sauce Bottle’ transfers in virtually mint condition on both sides:
Bright baseplate:
With just a little chipping mainly confined to the red wheel arches, this is a very good find indeed!
Rear doors are complete and intact, opening and closing smoothly.
There are a few re-touches to the paint finish at the back doors, visible upon close inspection, and a couple of dabs at the sides.
The attractive and correctly-pictured Supertoy box is brightly-coloured, with no splits.
Minor wear and a little staining at the ends. Rubbing to one side where a label has been removed, too.

Remains of an old shop price label on the base.
This is an especially difficult model to find in any condition.
