CGS2
Corgi Gift Set 2 Land-Rover with Rice's Pony Trailer & Pony. Very near mint/boxed with plinth, packing card piece, Instruction Slip & Corgi Club Membership Form. From an old shop store find in Yorkshire.
Notes
Stored away for decades, this Gift Set is part of a startling old shop stock find. Many items have never been opened until now, with some outer boxes in a close to pristine state and others showing some signs of storage wear.
Issued between 1958-68, this fine Gift Set was a late issue, having a light brown and cream finish and a plastic tilt on the Land-Rover. Shaped spun wheels with suspension. Bright red detailed interior. The Land-Rover is in very close to mint condition with just one little (probably factory assembly) mark at the rear.
The Horse Trailer in matching finish has a tiny mark.
Lovely original lustre on both pieces.
Nice to see this set still has *the original brown plastic pony, complete with the little packing piece and little Instruction Slip.
The card plinth on which the models sit, is complete, clean and bright, with barely any wear at all.
The outer card pictorial end flap box is really crisp, with day-one bright colours on fresh, tear-free card. Very minor wear only.
With original card packing piece and Corgi Club Membership Form.
Very nice!
