C270
Corgi 270 James Bond Aston Martin. Near mint/boxed. DEEP RED INTERIOR. Early issue with tyre-cutter, spoked wheels and a full Secret Instruction Packet. From The Monty Calme Collection.
Notes
This popular James Bond Aston Martin has a close to mint, silky metallic silver finish, deep red interior (more difficult to find version, normally bright red). Issued between 1973-76.
It has many features that has made this a firm Corgi favourite with many collectors.
Ejector seat mechanism is working, although the seat mechanism has to be manually pushed down and only then can the roof be closed. Revolving number plates, retractable machine guns, tyre slasher blades, telescopic over-riders – this car is literally loaded with features!
The silver paint finish is very fresh indeed, as are the gold bumpers and radiator. Silver bullet screen.
Detailed spoked wheels with slasher blades. Suspension is fine on all four wheels. Just one very minor mark on the roof.
The original Secret Instruction Packet has been carefully opened and inside are the full complement of extras (i.e. Secret Instructions, spare villain figure, badge, number plates).
The third issue window-box is complete, with intact original smooth cellophane. Very fresh, clean and bright, showing minimal handling.
