C803
Corgi 803 The Beatles Yellow Submarine. Red hatches issue. Near mint plus/boxed. Superb inner and outer box! From The Monty Calme Collection.
Notes
A sought-after Corgi model in original condition with all four figures of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
Red hatches issue.
All transfers look bright and fresh (small nick to one) and the periscope is undamaged, rotating when the model is pushed along. Hatches open and close, although do note that the top of John Lennon’s head has an extra little piece of plastic so one set of figures does not pop up completely, without a little manual help. As-made. Gapes a little when this hatch is closed too.
Few marks to the paint finish.
Notably intact plastic propellor (so often found damaged).
The box is very close to shop fresh quality, with an intact deep blue inner – hard to find this good!
Box colours are fresh and vivid with lots of atmospheric artwork. Crisp and clean. Lightest crease where the header card section meets the main body of the box. Tiny wear besides. Cellophane window is intact.
