D919
Dinky 919 Guy Van "Golden Shred". Near mint plus/boxed. From 1957. One of the most eye-catching Dinky Advertising Vans from The Continental Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1957-58, the golden age of Dinky! This is one of the most eye-catching Dinky models you can buy and it is always an exciting find. This sought-after van has a red paint finish and complete highly decorative transfers on both sides (save for one thin scratch). Bright base.
Merest suggestion of sunfading head-on.
Bright base and well-shaped original tyres.
Barely a mark to the paint finish but note that two wheel arches have a little retouch.
The striped Supertoys box is complete and bright with no splits or repairs. Some age grubbiness. This example is dated from 1957 (Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid).
A highlight in any collection.
