C497
Corgi 497 The Man From UNCLE's Thrushbuster. Rare cream export version. Very, very near mint/boxed. With original Waverley ring, both card packing rings and card wrap-around packing piece. Superb outer box! From The MBU Collection.
Notes
A sought-after item from Corgi in the scarce cream finish and made for just for one year only (1966). Usual colour finish is metallic blue.
The owner says:
‘This one with a light grey insert is about as good as you will ever find. From a shrink-wrap, ex-Philips Auction’.
This particular example has a light cream finish.
Virtually mint condition with a notably complete bonnet logo. Please note that this is a completely authentic example, correct that it does not have a bonnet cast square immediately surrounding the bonnet label (only the metallic blue version has this casting detail).
Looking like new, with just a couple of mere (probably factory assembly) dots to the paint finish.
This example comes with the original Waverley ring and both card packing rings which fits over the roof button. Original wrap around card packing piece is also present (so often missing).
The * inner card stand* (pale grey with black central rectangle) is crisp with very bright strong colourful graphics. Minor wear only. All four push-out wheel slot tabs are stll in situ.
Lots of information on the UNITED NETWORK COMMAND FOR LAW AND ENFORCEMENT (U.N.C.L.E.) on box plinth reverse:
The outer box is extremely crisp, vivid and fresh. One of the best you will find. Lightest wear only. Corgi Club Membership Form.
A rare t.v. inspired Corgi item in complete and authentic condition, issued for a very limited time.
