D465
Dinky 465 Morris Commercial Van "CAPSTAN". Near mint plus/boxed. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Issued during 1959 only, this is one of the harder-to-find advertising vans made by Dinky during this period. In all original, close to mint condition with very close to perfect “Have a Capstan” transfer on one side (couple of tiny nicks), and a little rubbing with some loss mostly to the letter ‘e’ on the other. This Morris van has a two-tone blue paint finish with mid-blue wheels.
Shiny baseplate. Fine smooth tyres.
Couple of little wheel arch rubs.
Looks unused with no chipping head-on, including bumpers and headlight rims. Fine details at the rear doors are mark-free too.
The pictorial card box is bright and complete. Light age/handling wear includes a tiny tear. No graffiti.
