C240
Corgi 240 Ghia-Fiat Jolly. Very near mint/boxed. Rarest version in METALLIC MID-BLUE. Only the 2nd we have ever offered for sale. From a dedicated Corgi collector in The Home Counties.
Notes
Rare to come to the market place – usual version has a deep non-metallic blue finish.
This example is finished in a metallic mid-blue with both seated figures inside, this delightful Corgi model was made between 1963-64.
Barely any of the usual chrome rubbing and the sun canopy is free of the usual rubs to the silver finish. The two delicate lugs on the windscreen which help to secure the canopy in place are no longer present – a common fault, but one is unaware of it unless one removes the canopy. It sits squarely in place nonetheless. Paint finish is virtually mint.
The card picture box is bright and complete. Crisp feel. Scribbled out period price at an end flap. Light wear.
