D512
Dinky 512 Guy Flat Truck. Near mint plus/boxed. 1st type in French blue & red. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
A pleasing example of this Dinky commercial vehicle issued during 1953, in mid (French) blue (not violet or light blue) with a red flatbed, paler blue, grooved Supertoy wheels.
Supertoys on the base, large painted hook, rear axles in cast lugs:
With a day-one lustre throughout, this truck just gleams! Upon close inspection, one may find a little marking at some wheel arches and there are two small marks at cab roof edge.
Note that this truck has been standing in one position for a long time so you will find a flat spot on three of the tyres.
The dark blue box is bright and intact with a complete picture label. Crisp feel to the clean card which has been well stored and rarely handled. Light wear only.
Delightful example which is especially eye-catching on display.
