M330
Milton (Calcutta) 330 'CALTEX" Leyland Octopus (Dinky). Very near mint/boxed. Scarce Milton-Dinky model from The MBU Collection.
Notes
Made from the original Dinky tooling for the Leyland Octopus Tanker (see base). Just like Nicky/Dinky toys in this respect. From Calcutta India.
Finished in ice white with grey plastic wheels and deep blue window glazing. ‘Leyland Octopus – A Milton Product’ on the base. Well-shaped treaded tyres including the spare.
Plastic tanker in deep blue and white has virtually complete ‘CALTEX" labels and logo on one side, a few little (mostly) red border nicks to the other ’CALTEX’ label. Complete circular ‘CALTEX’ logo at the rear. Intact tow hook. Jewelled headlights. Screwed base. Minor front bumper rub and a couple of mere dots besides.
Distinctive card box is complete, clean and bright. This comparatively flimsy box has suffered minor wear only.
Rare to come to the market-place.
