An exceptional survivor from the earliest period of Dinky. Issued during 1936 only in this form.
The Singapore Flying Boat is in original condition, finished in silver with a diecast fuselage and tinplate wings. Correct that this model has no rollers on the underside or indeed an aperture on the top ( i.e. no gliding hole). The model is fully cast without this detail and has fine, deeply-coloured, stencilled RAF roundels on both wings. Complete with all four propellors.

The few that remain from this early period generally have substantial wear and due to the instability of the alloys used at the time, they are often found heavily-fatigued with chunks missing. Under close scrutiny, one can see a few very faint surface crazing lines. Looking into the interior of the fuselage from the underside, one can see two little superficial ‘pops’ to the metal (due to the inherent instability of the alloys, it is common for portions to become detached – this example has fared better than most). It is superficial and does not have any bearing on the presentation of the model, its strength or stability.
Note a faint dusting of tarnished spots at wing tips and a few small marks to the paint finish at some raised points. Overall impression is that this model has remained in its box for the majority of the past 80 years.
The deep blue lift off lid card box is without sunfading and showing minimal wear at edges etc. Period pencilled shopkeepers price on the underside reveals that this model was on sale for just 1/-.
