Dinky 162
Dinky 162 Ford Zephyr Saloon. Two-tone blue, grey wheels. Very near mint/boxed. Late version with TREADED TYRES & TAIL LIGHTS. From The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
A harder to find late issue with treaded (not smooth) tyres and with tail lights ( this detail was always hand-painted at factory) – the earlier issue would not have this detail.
A really pleasing example of this classic Dinky car, with an all-original paint finish in two-tone blue and pale grey cast wheels. A fine Dinky car made toward the end of the production run 1956-60.
Fine lustre, looks like old shop stock.
Shiny base has a few little scratches.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish – gives the impression of unsold, old shop stock.
The vivid picture box continues the theme – really crisp, bright and fresh. Correct colour spot. Period price is neatly pencilled at an end flap. Light storage crumple.
