Dinky 156
Dinky 156 Rover 75 Saloon. VIOLET BLUE and cream. Large print baseplate. Near mint/boxed. With correct early single-colour spot at end flaps. Very scarce model from The Reference Collection.
Notes
A striking Rover Saloon! With a wonderfully vibrant intense violet blue and rich cream finish, this example was made between 1956-59.
Note that this example has the large print and 156 on the shiny baseplate.
In all original condition, with a little rub/mark roof centre. Tiny mark or two besides. Axle ends ( one end) are rather rusty now.
The pictorial box is the correct early issue with single-tone models shown and the early deep blue colour spot at end flaps. Light wear and grubbiness.
A handsome model.
