Corgi 474
Corgi 474 Musical Wall's Ice Cream Van. Near mint plus/boxed. With FULLY WORKING CHIMES. With Instructions & unapplied stickers on backing sheet. Packing ring. From Gordon's Collection - a high quality gathering of some of the most popular and sought-after models.
Notes
One of the most eagerly sought-after Corgi models, especially with fully working chimes.
The Ford Thames Van has a shining blue and cream finish with striped awning (notably unfaded) and decorative trimmings, sliding windows and crucially when you turn the handle the chimes play the complete tune (5 notes)!
Bright plated fittings and complete ’Wall’s’ transfers on both sides. How nice to see that the windows are clear ( and not ‘foggy’ which is a common fault). Negligible mark to the paint finish and an incomplete paper label on the roof (however, there are more examples on the sticker sheet included).
Note the full set of unapplied labels on a backing sheet. Instruction Leaflet which incorporates a Corgi Club Membership Form* is included. Packing ring too. No card stand.
The decorative card box is complete, but worn now with tears.
Still a truly nostalgic piece!
