Corgi 472

Notes
Removing this model from the box, just about took our breath away!
Usual version has a deep green Land Rover, and of course, this example has a vivid (all original) red finish.
In superb, barely handled condition – and we believe either from a very a short run or a factory oversight. The Public Address Vehicle, the Breakdown Vehicle and the Chipperfields Parade Vehicle were all primarily Land Rover vehicles (and of course the Chipperfields and Breakdown issue was finished in this bright red colour). Both issued during the mid-late 1960’s.
Certainly extremely rare or possibly an unique example.
The Land Rover comes with both figures, and bright, complete “Vote For Corgi” labels on both sides.
It does look rather good in these vivid colours too.
Spring suspension is fine on all four, bright, shaped spun wheels. As-new original fine-tread tyres with Corgi Toys embossed.
Note the little factory paint miss at a window post and a mere dot or two besides.
The colourful pictorial box is clean and complete. Excellent strong colours. No graffiti. Couple of end flap tears and a little scuff besides. Period dollar price label at an end flap.
Comes complete with the card packing piece.
