Dinky 512
Dinky 512 Guy Flat Truck. Second issue in light blue and red. Near mint plus/boxed. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
A fine, all original 2nd type example (triangular lugs next to the number plate), made between 1954-56 with ridged wheels, and large painted hook. A beautiful lustrous paint finish in distinctive light blue and red with light blue wheels.
Not even a trace of a rub on the roof and the smooth original tyres are well-shaped save for one which has a very light flat spot.
Bright base (minor ‘spidering’) with bolt-fixed spare wheel.
Presents well. Usual marks at the tow hook. Hard to fault otherwise – although if you are armed with a magnifying glass, a keen eye and determination, you will find a couple of very subtle touch-ins.
The powder blue DINKY SUPERTOYS box is intact with a complete paper label. Light sunfading and very minor wear.
