Notes
From the property of Marcel Van Cleemput, Chief Designer for Corgi:
1) The item pictured in The Great Book of Corgi page 480, plate 1005. Fresh from the film studios, with many ideas flowing on how to create a model of James Bond’s Lotus Esprit, Marcel Van Cleemput’s initial freehand pen drawing created on his return journey has been well-stored beneath a glass frame.
Drawing not including frame measures approx. 25cms x 20cms.
2) This is number 3 of a series of images prepared for inclusion in The Great Book of Corgi. On page 482, plate no. 1008, you can see Terry Fox at Corgi working on this Final Build Up Drawing. This is the photograph prepared for inclusion in The Great Book of Corgi , so one of a sequence, but it was decided to use the image of Terry Fox working on it, rather than include it, as the others were.
