Corgi Gift Set 3

Notes

One of the sought-after Batman Gift Sets, this late version (copyright 1979) is presented in the header-card window box.
The set comprises:
1) Batmobile – fixed gold tow hook version and both seated figures of Batman and Robin. Bright and original gloss finish, fully functioning and complete with aerial (minor bend), intact light blue screens. Bright bat labels. Suspension is fine on all four shiny wheels. Note the factory unfinished central section which is normally chrome – which includes the section beneath the windscreen. First we have seen with this bare metal finish
Virtually mint gloss black paint.

2) Batboat is the correct later version with plastic fin. Intact blue screens and bright chrome cockpit. Complete paper labels (tiny surface mark to one) including the bat labels on the fin. Gold trailer has Rally whizzwheels. Tiny mark to the tow hook.

Both items are housed in the original, intact polystyrene inner. Minor edge grubbiness on one side, if you want to fault it.
Colourful and attractive outer box is complete, clean and bright. Original cellophane is notably intact. Light crease on box reverse. Small print ‘For ages 3 years & over’. English, French & Swedish print.
Operating Instructions on this late issue were printed on the underside of the outer box.
