Issued between 1955-57, this is a striking Dinky Tanker with a fine and vibrant original paint finish throughout with intact ladder, bright baseplate and spare wheel.
‘REGENT’ letters are perfect on both sides. Makes a lovely display piece – and worth noting this item has no retouching.
Upon close observation, there are scarcely any marks at wheel arches and only the occasional little nick to the vulnerable white side stripe. Couple of mere dots to the rear transfer.
Obviously handled only occasionally. 20 mph label is still in place too at a rear wheel arch.
The striped Supertoys box is clean and complete with bright colours throughout and that includes the portion of the deep blue base not covered by the lid. ’LF (lead free) label in place too. Scribbled over period price (pencil) and light wear.
A little minor age wear only. Dated 1957 from the Dinky stamp inside the box lid.
