Corgi 503
Corgi 503 Circus Giraffe Transporter with Giraffes. Scarce with CAST wheels. Very near mint (blue-green back)/boxed. Complete with card packing piece. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
From the popular range of circus models issued between 1964-70. This Bedford TK Truck is a more difficult find with cast wheels. Complete and bright “CHIPPERFIELDS CIRCUS” labels on both sides and, of course, two giraffes (mother and baby) – originals, of course, and looking pristine (not rubbed or faded)!
Note that this example comes complete with both wing mirrors intact as well as the small reflective pieces too.
The blue plastic back has a greenish hue now (light has altered the shade over time).
The box is complete and bright, with a few flecks of surface loss at an end flap edge and a very small edge tear at a large end flap. Light wear besides. Period U.S. price label on an end flap.
This example comes with the original crisp card wrap-around piece (usually discarded).
